What is the FSC Mauritius license?
A simple explanation of the regulator, the strength of the license, and what to check before opening an account.
The Financial Services Commission Mauritius regulates the country's non-bank financial services sector and global business. Established in 2001, it licenses and supervises activities within its jurisdiction, including certain investment-dealer activities.
Some international forex and CFD brokers operate through Mauritius entities. The official Register of Licensees allows traders to check the legal company, license status and authorization category.
A broker group may use several entities for different countries. Traders should confirm that the Mauritius company in the register matches the entity named in the client agreement and review the license category before depositing funds.
